Amenity Training Register BASIS Amenity Training Register is a professional register demonstrating members have up-to-date training & knowledge to responsibly manage pesticide use in the amenity sector.
The Amenity Standard A bespoke voluntary quality management standard of he Amenity Forum and backed by the Government to which highlights the need to use professionally approved operators in public spaces and promotes best practice in areas including invasive weed control.

- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Japanese knotweed & Residential Property (effective from 23 March 2022)
- Property Care Association’s (PCA) Code of Practice for Japanese knotweed Management (2018)
- Environment Agency Managing Japanese knotweed on Development Sites (2013) WITHDRAWN July 2016
For the safe & responsible use, storage and transportation of pesticides Knotweed Control follows:
- DEFRA’s Code of Practice for Using Plant Protection Products
- Crop Protection Association Amenity Best Practice: Using Pesticides in the Community
